It will soon be even easier to keep your car shiny in Ocala. The Tennessee-based company, Modwash, recently paid $1 million for land at the southwest corner of East Silver Springs Boulevard and Southeast 16th Avenue. The street address is 1544 E. Silver Springs Blvd., and the future site of Ocala’s next car wash. The city has already approved the site plan
Ocala does seem to be in the midst of a car wash boom. In November 2022 Caliber Car Wash announced the opening of two locations. Per the company’s website, “In addition to its Silver Springs Blvd location, Caliber opened a new wash in the growing Maricamp area next to Wendy’s. It also announced the opening of the upgraded Ocala Auto Spa location on Pine. This wash underwent a tunnel and property overhaul to ensure customers receive quick, quality cleans. Ocala is the first city to host three or more Caliber locations.”
Modwash currently has 84 locations in 14 states either opened or planned. The Ocala site will employ 10-15 people.
