Construction has started on the new HCA Florida Foxwood Emergency facility in northwest Ocala. The $11 million project is located at 4361 NW Blichton Road, west of I-75. It is scheduled to open in winter 2023.
HCA Florida Healthcare states that the new one-story facility is, “in response to the growing healthcare needs of Marion County…” HCA Florida Foxwood Emergency will be a full-service, fully staffed emergency room with ER physicians, nurses and other clinicians ready to service the needs of the community with the same capabilities as the ER at the main hospital. It will feature 11 emergency exam rooms, CT scan, general X-ray and on-site laboratory services, and will be capable of caring for all ages, including pediatrics. The emergency room is expected to serve more than 10,000 patients a year and will employ approximately 45 full-time healthcare professionals.
