Another multi-family community is coming to Ocala

The southwestern part of Ocala is about to gain a new multi-family community, as Thompson Thrift Residential is just about ready to begin construction on its newest project in the seat of Marion County.

Canter, a new multi-family project that will feature 23 acres of land and 320 different units, will soon be erected across the street from the HCA Florida West Marion Hospital. The new community will feature buildings two stories high, direct unit entry, a bevy of natural plant life decorating the space near the garden-style units, and a collection of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. Thompson Thrift Residential estimates that the average unit size will be about 1,100 square feet. The official address for Canter is 4945 SW 49th Place.

The interiors of the units will feature stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, full sized washers and dryers, ceilings nine feet off the ground, quartz countertops, and more. Being a resident of this new community will also grant you access to various amenities, including a fitness center that's operational for 24 hours a day, a swimming pool, multiple community gardens, dog spas, and more.

As of now, the plans are to begin accepting residents within one calendar year, in the summer of 2023.
