Festival Blast from the Past
This coming Saturday, McIntosh will host its annual 1890’s festival, where thousands of people and their families will head over to Van Ness Park for music, demonstrations, and antique and art displays.
After over forty years, the event has perfected its musical selections, with songs from almost all genres, including even gospel and Cajun music. From eight o’clock in the morning to five o’clock at night, attendees will be able to buy art and/or antiques and enjoy songs from local bands. Dial 591-4038 for more information on this event.
Music Festival
Also happening this Saturday is from 3 o’clock to 9 o’clock in the afternoon is the Jazz Up Dunnellon Music Festival, which will include a wide range of music on ten stages. Some genres included are jazz, blues, rock, and folk music. Local bands that will be playing include the band R-Style, and Keith Caton, a blues guitarist. More Spooky Events
For those with a thirst for spookiness and fear, go to Nightmare on Pine Street! The event happens every Friday and Saturday from eight o’clock to eleven o’clock in the evening until October 27th at Wayne’s World (4841 S. Pine Ave). Prepared to be scared senseless on this more than four acre piece of haunted land. Tickets are ten dollars for adults and five dollars for children under twelve years old.
