A new addition to the genre of restaurants where you can throw peanut shells on the floor is making its way to Ocala. About a week ago, an application for a ‘Texas Roadhouse’ was submitted for a corner of the Paddock Mall property.
It will be 7,700-square-feet at the intersection of State Road 200 and SW 32nd Avenue. In 2016 the company that owns the Paddock Mall filed a request to change their property lines to fit a standalone building. The request was granted and this is the first step towards utilizing the space.
The review of the application can take anywhere from weeks to months, but if approved, Texas Roadhouse will join Cody’s Original Roadhouse and Logan’s Roadhouse in Ocala. There also used to be a Roadhouse Grill which has since been replaced by Mojo’s Grill & Catering several years ago.
The chain is nationwide with almost 600 locations and is known for its hand-cut steaks.
