If a new lunch spot is what you're after, you can get excited about the new Jimmy John's sandwich shop that opened recently at 43 South Pine Avenue. It is the company's second location in Ocala and features deliciously simple sandwiches on homemade bread. Jimmy John's features dine-in seating, as well as delivery and catering options.
Another recent opening in Ocala is that of Saint Leo University's Ocala Education Center, located at 1930 SW 38th Avenue. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership along with the mascot from Saint Leo University. The school is a member-partner of the chamber and provides a 10% discount on tuition to members.
As for what's on the horizon, SCORE, which "provides expert guidance and assistance to start-up an existing businesses" will be hosting a couple of upcoming events. On April 20th, a business breakfast will take place at 8:30 AM at the College of Central Florida in Ocala, and, on April 22nd, a meeting and seminar titled "Understanding Your Business Using Excel" will take place at 9 AM at the Power Plant Business Incubator in Ocala.
As far as accolades go, a local equestrian supply distributor was recently given the honor of "Premier Equestrian," having demonstrated "commitment to bettering the lives of horses through their equestrian pursuits and career."
