Get ready for a beautiful brand new grocery shopping experience with an old brand that's getting a new image.
Winn-Dixie stores around the country are getting makeovers, and the first central Florida location to undergo a dramatic remodel as part of the company's rebranding effort is the Ocala location at 11310 US 301 in Belleview. The store features an increased product variety, a much bigger bakery and so much more.
Aisle shelving and register heights are now lower, making the grocery store feel much larger and more open. There are also ice tables for produce to keep fruits and vegetables fresher for longer periods of time. The deli displays are larger and there is a brand new cheese table and wing bar.
In addition to Winn-Dixie's aesthetic changes, the company is also rebranding with logistical and functional changes that include decreasing the transportation process for produce by three to five days and dropping prices on numerous items. There is also an effort to enhance the quality of private label Winn-Dixie branded products, with a stronger chef focus and reinvigorated recipes and the removal of artificial colors and flavors from many products.
The renovated store features a larger selection of organic, natural and gluten-free options, a new display and increased inventory for liquor, wine and craft beer, and a larger redesigned floral department.
