The Ocala Culinary Festival is making its debut on March 1 and will feature five days of fabulous food and wine events. In recent years, Ocala has really been stepping up its dining game and has even earned two prestigious Florida Trend Golden Spoon awards. While Ocala was once home to only chain restaurants, it now boasts several fantastic eateries. This event was designed to showcase Marion County as a foodie destination and will hopefully put Ocala on the culinary map.
This festival has even garnered attention from the James Beard Foundation, with the opening event serving as a fundraiser for the foundation's scholarship program, which provides assistance to aspiring young chefs in pursuit of their culinary education.
Other events include a dinner and performance by Ocala Symphony Orchestra, a beer pairing dinner, a grilling seminar, both a French and Italian wine seminar, a craft cocktail event, a farm dinner, and a grand tasting event.
