The Country Club of Ocala is under new ownership, as it was recently purchased by CCO Hospitality, LLC. With new ownership comes a $2 million renovation project that will not only include repairs and upgrades, but will also include the addition of a wide range of services.
The renovation is focused on attracting more members, getting more of them to stay longer at the facility, and also getting them to make the country club a larger part of their social lives. Upcoming changes will include renovating the clubhouse, tennis courts and pool area, as well as upgrading the banquet hall. Construction has already begun with the hopes of completion taking place in the next three months.
Following the aforementioned projects, the second phase of renovations will begin in May and will primarily focus on the golf course. Greens will receive new grass and will also be made 15 to 20% larger. Drainage systems for the bunkers will also be renovated.
The current layout of the course is geared more towards elite players, and the new design will hopefully make it more enjoyable for all skill levels. Club pricing will remain the same, and there will be special offers to draw youth groups and other desired members for special events. The club will also focus on regularly renting out the banquet hall.
Furthermore, the operation budget for the club will be increased, to make sure that the club is well maintained. The Country Club of Ocala plans on doing a much better job at selling itself, as it has a lot to offer and a lot to gain.
